The ECRC welcomes The Cyberfort Group to the board

The Cyberfort Group (Cyberfort) are delighted to become a member of the Eastern Cyber Resilience Centre board and feel this is a natural fit with us and our mission for ensuring peace of mind about the security of data and compliance within businesses.

Security is the essence of who we are and has evolved from the way our organisation and the individuals within it behave and think about security; it’s in the DNA of Cyberfort and at the heart of our culture.

Cyberfort is an end-to-end cyber security managed service business, we specialise in three core service pillars; Compliance, Cybersecurity and Cloud. Across these pillars we offer a matrix of solutions from cloud hosting, cybersecurity, penetration testing, business continuity planning, business compliance, incident management, disaster recovery support and much more.

Our partners range from the largest of HMG departments, to non-departmental public bodies including projects of critical national infrastructure status. Our private sector work is equally wide-ranging, including blue-chip and FTSE companies, SMEs and agile technology start-ups.

We believe that security affects everyone, therefore security services should be available to everyone no matter where they are on their business journey.

As a new board member, Nigel is looking forward to working with fellow board members to promote an understanding of the cyber threat landscape and support the adoption of ‘good’ security practice across the region.

Nigel Wilkinson – Chief Operating Officer for the Cyberfort Group

Nigel brings more than 20 years’ experience of delivering operational security, as well as serving 23 years in Her Majesty’s Royal Air Force, where he developed his leadership and security skills, working within the counter-intelligence and security investigations specialisms.

This unique experience shaped Nigel’s passion for cyber security, from an independent certified cyber security consultant to managing operational and consultancy-based security practices, delivering multi-disciplined cyber security services to public and private sectors; including Defence, Welfare, Justice, Policing, Legal, Medical and Sporting bodies.

Today, Nigel’s experience and leadership are focused on developing and delivering technology and process driven certified cyber security services, providing a first-class professional client service and driving profitable revenue growth to Cyberfort. Nigel is passionate about developing new and ‘home grown’ talent in the industry and an advocate for structured training and development paths for future cyber security generations.

The director of the ECRC, Paul Lopez said

"The Eastern Cyber Resilience Centre is delighted to have the Cyberfort Group join our board.

Nigel has a wealth of experience which will be invaluable in making sure the SMEs within the East of England continue to build their cyber resilience. The Cyberfort Group has the same focus as the ECRC; getting business owners to be able to sleep at night instead of tossing and turning about their cyber security."
